  • It’s always a good month when the first Monday is a bank holiday. Indeed, the great start to May is merely an example of what the month has to offer- all things bright and beautiful. When you experience May time in Marbella, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Whilst renowned and famous for its sunny and sandy qualities, there is much more fun to be had in this Costa del Sol city...
The properties available also reflect the excitement of the area with many new projects and developments on the beach front, in golf locations or tucked up in the mountains. Whatever your wish, it’s Marbella’s command.
Here are 4 of our favourite “May time” activities to be enjoyed with friends and family.
             1. Golf
Recently recognised as being home to more than a quarter of Spain’s top 100 golf courses, there is no surprise that golfing appears in our list of great things to do. Not only does the golfing capital offer top quality courses, but a wide range of fully equipped courses to suit all levels of play. Set amidst lovely landscapes in the likes of Marbella Golf & Country Club, La Quinta or Aloha Golf (to name but a few), the dry and sunny climate that May provides is a great chance to get on the playing field before the arrival of the mid season summer sun.
             2. Cycle
The Paseo Maritimo is always the answer. Where to go for a Saturday morning stroll, where to enjoy a gentle jog after work on a Wednesday and it answers how to spend a Sunday afternoon. Its versatility is not only in the day or time, but also the activities it can facilitate. Many choose to ride the Golden Mile which is a relaxed bike ride ending at the luxurious port of Puerto Banus with the option to rent a bike should you only be in Marbella a few days. There are also many who enjoy to ride it on their roller-skates, or even the availability of hiring a segway for part of the journey.
             3. La Concha
Glistening in the midday sun, the mountain that is often at the backdrop of our scenic photos is one that can also be climbed! It is 1200 meters above sea level but offers a steady climb of 2-3 hours where the peak offers an opportunity to enjoy spectacular panoramic views, such as that of Africa’s Atlas mountains and the Rock of Gibraltar.
            4. Sun, Sea and Sand
Synonymous with Marbella; enjoying the sun, sea and sand is an option that never disappoints. The weather starts warming up but without a dramatic influx of tourists thus making it an enjoyable option.
Our portfolio includes an extensive list of properties within close proximity of where these activities can be enjoyed. Whether it be beach front to enjoy the sea, sand and paseo or a front line golf property, we have villas, apartments, townhouses and penthouses ideal for you. Our team of professionals will be delighted to help.
