Until recently people have largely relied on real estate agents to find them their perfect home or office. In doing this, agents end up trying to sell or rent them properties that they have on their books and not necessarily what they require. These days’ properties which are either for sale or rent can be viewed comprehensively online with a myriad of images, descriptions and dimensions. This can also be aided by tailored search engines, built into sites allowing the user to find exactly what they are looking for.
All of this has been made more efficient, as many agents are posting their portfolios on property sales web sites such as Primelocation, Rightmove or Zoopla or Purplebricks.com for Rentals. However, at the moment clients are largely asking agents to sell their property and it is the agent that will subsequently re-post property using the aforementioned sites.
However, there is still nothing better than having and experienced agent act on your behalf; someone who know the area like the back of their hand, can offer tips of do’s and don’ts on each area and really find the property for you that ticks every box on your wish list.
Pressure within the real estate industry is increasingly demanding with more comprehensive information required before buyers are prepared to view the property in person, especially in the high end sectors of the market.
Technology has now become integral within the property industry, not only to agents, but to buyers, sellers and those wishing to rent.  This is not speculation – it is happening NOW. But this does not mean you will always be guided towards what you need to the littlest detail.
